Marceline fell short to only the host on Thursday. The Tigers travelled to Huntsville on Thursday morning for the Lewis & Clark conference golf meet, and got dumped by 14 strokes.

Aside from falling to Westran, Marceline defeated the next closest competitor, Salisbury, by 43 strokes. Marceline finished with a round of 343.

Trey Hamilton won the meet individually with a 77-stroke round, defeating Westran's Corbin Brockleman by two strokes, essentially making Hamilton conference champion.

Marceline's Colby Sims finished with a round of 82 strokes, Cullen Bruner came back to the clubhouse after 85, and Rylan Chrisman shot a 99. Seth Cupp was Marceline's throw-away score with 104 strokes, which still would have been the best score on two of the eight teams in the field.

Harrisburg was fourth place with 411 strokes. Fayette finished fifth with 419 strokes, and Schuyler County was four strokes behind to take sixth place.

Paris and Scotland County finished seventh and eighth respectively.

The Tigers will play again in Huntsville on Thursday.
