Marceline hosted its Middle School Relays on Thursday, and both Tiger teams were victorious. The Brookfield boys finished second, and the Bulldog girls finished sixth of 10 teams.
Marceline's Wyatt Molloy won the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.26 seconds, and teammate Ramzee Bruner won the same event with a time of 1:03.96. Both were personal records. Bruner also won the triple jump at 32 feet, 11 inches.
Marceline's Rhea Krumpleman won the 1600-meter run at 6:17.
Brookfield's Alex Sharp won the 100 meter hurdles at 18.17 seconds.
The Brookfield boys' 4x100 meter team of Dareon Buckner, Zander Mitch, Sam Gillman, and Bryson Collier won with a time of 50.30 seconds.
The Marceline girls' 4x400 team of Kennedy Edgar, Gracey Jordan, Emily Smithheisler, and Sarah Kussman's 4:43 was five seconds better than the field.
Brookfield discus thrower Silas Dodd won with a 114 foot, five inch toss. Marceline's Mason Barnet won the pole vault at nine feet, six inches.
Kussman also won the vault with an eight foot, three inch launch, good for a personal record.
