The boys half of the annual Basket-Bell Game took place on Monday evening at Tiger Fieldhouse, as the Brookfield Bulldogs visited the Marceline Tigers. Marceline held an early advantage, but Brookfield came back to win 50-46.

Brookfield High School Wrestlers held their Senior Night on Thursday, January 14, 2016 hosting the Chillicothe Hornets. Six seniors were recognized that evening.

The Brookfield Bulldogs wrestling team hosted a quad-meet at Brookfield High School on Thursday, welcoming Hallsville, Centralia and Penney to BHS. The Dogs downed Hallsville and Penney, and were edged by Centralia on this occasion.

The Brookfield R-3 Board of Education met in regular session Tuesday evening with all members present. At this meeting, the board received the plans for the upcoming roof project, discussed health insurance, and received a retirement letter.

The high school basketball season opened up for the Brookfield Lady Dogs and Marceline Lady Tigers as the teams clashed at Tiger Fieldhouse this week. Marceline topped Brookfield in this contest 36-30 in a close game.
