Dexter Carmichael, standout offensive lineman for the Brookfield Bulldogs, signed his letter of commitment to attend Central Methodist University on a football scholarship. Holly Burk (seated center) signed her letter of commitment to attend Central Methodist University and be a part of their cheerleading program. Burk was a football and basketball cheerleader for Marceline High School in her career.

This week, four local track teams competed at the Marceline Relays at Chester Ray Stadium. The Brookfield Bulldogs took first place, the Marceline Tigers took third, the Meadville Eagles took eighth, and the Linn County Mustangs took 10th.

The Brookfield Bulldogs traveled to the Trenton Relays last week, and won the whole thing. The Dogs had first place individual finishes from Michael Casebolt and Seth Speichinger, along with a number of solid performances at the event.

The annual Marceline Tournament was held on Wednesday at the Marceline Golf Course. The Tigers placed three golfers in the top 10 as well. Marceline shot a 330 as a team, Brookfield shot a 365, and the Marceline JV shot a 364.

The Brookfield Bulldogs hosted Milan and Trenton at Cochran Field on Tuesday afternoon. The teams had several first place finishers on both the boys and girls sides.
