Friday night the Marceline Tigers and Lady Tigers ended their regular seasons in Paris for a Lewis and Clark Conference battle.  The Lady Tigers lost the opener, and perhaps more importantly, lost their starting point guard Abby Gauthier to injury.  The Tigers lost a close game in the nightcap.

In the girl’s game, the Lady Tigers suffered an injury to Gauthier late in the first quarter.  “Abby is a big hit for our team,” said Head Coach Kirsten Smith.  “She is a great athlete and was really making strides on the floor.”  The Lady Tigers fought hard in this contest, as they have all season long, and got the game within eight points in the third quarter.  But, Marceline still lost this game 80-50.

The Tigers came out and, for three quarters, played a close game against Paris.  After one frame, the game was tied 10-10.  Jeff Floray had four points.  At the half, the Tigers led 32-29 with Jake Ewigman scoring eight.  The lead was dropped to one point in the third quarter, 44-43, with six more points from Floray.  But Marceline lost this game 70-58.
