The Meadville Eagles and Lady Eagles softball teams opened their seasons last night against Hale in a CLAA Conference battle.
The Lady Eagles won 10-3 in the opener. Erin Shiflett went 2-4, Becca Zell went 2-3, Kaylen Holcer went 2-3, Emilie Cowan went 1-1, and Kellie Sargent went 1-2.
The Eagles won 17-2 in the nightcap. Lee Young went 1-1 with three walks, Derek Smith went 3-3, Tanner Baker had three walks, Rick Tate went 2-2, Trevor Corzette went 1-3, Colton Palmer went 1-3, Derrick Knifong went 1-1, and Keaton Duncan went 1-2.
