The Central Methodist University men’s and women’s track teams did what they have been doing all season long – posting qualifying marks and breaking records – Saturday at the Jim Green Invitational in Jacksonville, Ill.
Sophomore Jaime Guffey (Browning, Mo.) posted a CMU record time in the 55m hurdles. She ran 9.02 in the prelims to break the previous record of 9.26 set by Laura Stegman in 2003. Guffey went on to finish fourth in the finals of the event.
The CMU track & field teams will compete at Missouri Valley College Friday in their final tune-up meet before the Heart of America Athletic Conference championships.
