The ritual is complete, and this fall, the beasts will be unleashed.  While it is firmly in the middle of basketball and wrestling seasons, the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) announced the redistricted football brackets for the next three years.  Things stayed the same for the Marceline Tigers, while the Brookfield Bulldogs keep only one familiar opponent come District time.
Brookfield, with their move to the Clarence Cannon Conference, have a dramatically different look to their schedule on the gridiron.  Brookfield opens week one at home against Mark Twain, travels to Marceline for the Bell Game in week two, comes home for Putnam County in week three, travels to Palmyra in week four, hosts former District foe Highland in week five, takes the long road to Kahoka in week six for a bout with Clark County, and hosts Louisiana in week seven in the final game before Districts.
