At halftime, Meadville was up 37-16, Zell had 12 points in the frame.
In the boys contest, the undefeated Eagles were playing close with Tina early on. Rick Tate scored first for Meadville 30 seconds into the game, with Tina answering on their next trip down court. Tina struck first in the second quarter, but runs of 4-0 and 7-0 helped the Eagles to continue their domination of the contest. At halftime, Meadville was up 30-17. Smith and Tate scored four points each in the second quarter.
