The Brookfield Bulldogs wrestling team has been busy this week, with a tri-dual at Maysville on Tuesday, and a double-dual last night at home. In all five of these duals, the Dogs came out victorious as a team.
In the tri-dual on Tuesday night, the Dogs took on Savannah, Maysville, and Mid-Buchanan.
Against Savannah, the Dogs gave up an open bout at 103 pounds. Lucas Noble lost a 4-3 decision at 112 pounds. Micah Blakely won by pinfall in 35 seconds at 119 pounds. Ramzie Cooper won in 42 seconds by pinfall at 125 pounds. The teams swapped forfeits in open bouts at 130 pounds, and at 135 pounds with Jordan Orr picking up the duke. Maverick Spencer won by forfeit in an open bout at 140 pounds. Gary Lindsay won by pinfall in 1:58 at 145 pounds. Austin Lindsay won by pinfall in 1:51 at 152 pounds. Jacob Buckallew won by pinfall in 1:13 at 160 pounds. Brock Wine won by pinfall in 1:30 at 71 pounds. Mike McCollum won by pinfall in 2:38 at 189 pounds. Austin Cupp won by pinfall in 4:58 at 215 pounds. Matt Forbes won by pinfall in 1:03 at heavyweight.
In the end, the Dogs won this dual by a final score of 66-15.
Against Maysville, the Dogs were open at 103, losing by forfeit. Noble won a 4-0 decision at 112. Blakely won in an open bout at 119, and both teams were open at 125. Cooper lost by pinfall at 130 in 5:21. Orr won a 6-1 decision at 135. Spencer lost by pinfall in 2:52 at 140 pounds. Gary Lindsay lost a 6-4 decision for his first loss of the season at 145 pounds. Austin Lindsay won a 17-2 technical fall at 152 pounds. Buckallew won by pinfall in 3:23 at 160 pounds. Wine, McCollum, and Cupp won in open bouts at 171, 189, and 215 respectively. Forbes lost by pinfall in 4:39 at heavyweight.
Brookfield won this dual by a team score of 46-12.
