The school year may be over, but the Brookfield Booster Club and the Spring Sports coaches recently honored the track, boys golf, and academic bowl teams.  The parents barbecued hamburgers and hot dogs and the meal, as always, was great.
First on the agenda was boys golf team.  Due to a family emergency, the part of Head Coach Mike Severa was played by Superintendent Dr. Paul Barger.  On behalf of Coach Severa, varsity letters were awarded to the following golfers:  Austin Cupp, Josh Maxwell, Weston Tschannen, William Tschannen, Matt O’Toole, and Josh Teter.
Second on the podium was Coach Pat Swift and recognition of the Academic Bowl program at BHS.  Receiving varsity letters were:  Ryan Palmer, Robert Robinson, Stephen Abbott, Kayla Davis, Kendra Short, Alex Swift, Holli Tillman, and William Tschannen.  Short was also recognized for not missing one practice in the extra-long Academic Bowl season, which runs from October through April.
