The Marceline Tigers Black Rage wrestling team traveled to Odessa last weekend for the Odessa Tournament. The team boasted three medalists, as well as one champion. The Tigers were open at 130, 135, 160, 171, and 189.
Matthew Smith suffered his first losses of the season at the tournament going 2-2. Smith still took third place at 103 pounds in Pool A, and boasts a 26-2 record on the season.
Tyler Hamilton took fourth place at Odessa, going 2-2. Hamilton, wrestling at 112 pounds, is 22-5 on the season.
Kyle Bell, wrestling at 119 pounds, took fourth place at the event. Bell went 1-3 on the day, and is 17-12 on the season.
Austin Moudy wrestled in Pool B at 125 pounds and did not place. Moudy went 2-3 on the day, and is 11-18 on the season.
