Last night, the Brookfield Bulldogs and Lady Dogs played their final home games for the 2010 season.
The teams hosted Trenton, and both squads came away with nice wins to send their seniors away with.
In the girls game, the Lady Dogs fell behind early with Trenton scoring first. But, this contest would be a back and forth affair through the opening frame.
Trenton took the lead late in the quarter on the strength of a 7-0 run, ending at the 1:42 mark off of a Shelby Lane put-back. Brookfield took a lead of their own from here with an 8-0 run that ended with a Trenton three-pointer at the buzzer.
After one quarter, Brookfield was up 18-17. Quinsie Gall had 10 points in the opening frame.
Kelli Black got the scoring started in the second quarter. Brookfield extended their lead to four points thanks to a three-pointer from Alyssa Elson just north of the three minute mark. At halftime, the Lady Dogs were up 37-31, Gall had seven points in the second quarter.
