The march to the post-season continued last night for the Meadville Eagles and Lady Eagles, as the teams played a pair of games at Braymer. The Lady Eagles took on Hardin-Central, while the Eagles took on Braymer.
The Lady Eagles won the opener 55-30, after trailing in the first quarter. Kendra Holcer had 16 points, Kayla Smith had 11, both Kaylen Holcer and Becca Zell had nine, Hillary Maberry had six, while both Kellie Sargent and Brittni Palmer had two.
The nightcap was a frightening game for the Eagles, as they came close to losing their first game of the season.
Meadville held six and eight point leads in the first and second quarter, but nearly lost this game, leading by one scant point in the third quarter, and winning the game 47-46.
Cody Smith had 23 points, Rick Tate had nine points, Willie Howe had seven, Tanner Baker had five, Jake Dinsmore had two, and Keaton Duncan had one.
