The Brookfield Blues 16 and Under softball team went 3-3 on the weekend for a second place finish in the Miken Special at Adair Park in Independence. They lost their first bracket game to come back in the loser’s bracket to the championship game on Sunday. On Sunday the team played back-to-back-to-back and were on the field for a total of five hours and 15 minutes. This was an extremely exciting weekend where the girls battled and grinded out several wins. The Blues have now entered in three tournaments and have came home with three trophies. They will be in action this weekend at the Mizuno Softball Series at the Basehor-Field of Dreams Basehor, KS.
