The Graff-Pepsi men’s softball team traveled to Kansas City recently for another tournament and came home 0-3 with a pair of close losses at the event.
The team lost both of their pool play games, with a 5-4 loss to the Topeka Wave, and an 8-2 loss against Kansas City Piper. On the second day, the team lost a 2-1 elimination game against the Topeka Toros.
For the tournament, G-P had the following stats: Ed Diaz went 2-9 with a walk, a double, a single, and an RBI; Josh Caldarella went 1-9 with a single; Dwight Ipock went 4-8 with three doubles, a ingle, and a walk; Todd Bennett went 2-6 with a single and four walks; Aaron Bruton went 1-3 with an RBI; Kevin Rohlfs went 2-9 with an RBI, a double, and a single; Bill Cook went 4-9 with three singles and a double; Louis Baca went 3-8 with two singles, a home run, and an RBI; Nate turner went 0-2; Mark Wooley went 1-6 with a single and an RBI; King Owens went 2-4 with two singles, a walk, and an RBI.
