Dorothy Louise Weimer

LAKE NEHAI TONKAYEA - Dorothy Louise Abeln Weimer, age 89 of Lake Nehai Tonkayea, formerly of Wien, died Thursday, November 25, 2021 at Pioneer Skilled Nursing, Marceline. Dorothy was born at Salisbury, Missouri on April 6, 1932 to William and Bertha (Ginter) Abeln. She married Raymond H. Weimer on June 3, 1952. They had eight children, Sara, Philip, Jeannie, David, Janice, Alice, George and Kyle. Raymond preceded her in death. She married Leo G. Weimer on November 4, 2000 and he preceded her in death.

Dear Annie: This letter is addressed to all those who think back on a first love and believe their feelings are undiminished.I did that and had the ability to discreetly check back on that love. I found that he had told his wife he was glad he married her because he never could have married an independent woman, which is what I am. I also found out that he had spent the last several years of his life in a facility as an Alzheimer’s patient.

New omicron variant fuels old misinformation

A new coronavirus variant revived old conspiracy theories this week as widely shared social media posts falsely claimed the omicron variant was nothing but a cover-up for darker agendas. Some online personalities over the weekend suggested omicron was invented as an excuse to change voting laws, or as a distraction from this week’s sex trafficking trial of longtime Jeffrey Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell.
