Fire Clay Bowl Trophy Returned To MHS

The Marceline Alumni Association is pleased to announce the return of a unique special treasure, the 1949 Fire Clay Bowl trophy, to Marceline High School (MHS). It now sits proudly in a trophy case at MHS for all generations to view. The football trophy’s whereabouts became unknown a few years ago but and with some local help, it has been located and returned to its home in the trophy case.

Wade Merle Coorts

Wade Merle Coorts, 88, was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven, Sunday, January 16th, 2022. Wade was born in Emden, Illinois on April 17th, 1933, to Ralph A. Coorts and Hannah T. (Wubben) Coorts. On May 8th, 1954, Wade married the love of his life, Marilyn Maxine Karnes. Their marriage was blessed with two daughters: Pamela and Kathy. Wade and Marilyn were married for 66 years at the time of her passing in 2021.
