Another Thriller To Marceline Hoops Boys Over Brookfield

MILAN — With a trip to the championship game of the Milan Invitational tournament on the line, but perhaps secondary in importance to their natural rivalry, the Marceline and Brookfield high school boys’ basketball teams took the court against each other for a second time in seven nights last Thursday, having gone to overtime before a MHS rally had led to a Tigers overtime triumph the Friday before.

MILAN — After a frustrating sequence of games between the recent holidays, when they were minus one or more players for sickness reasons on top of the multiple potential team members already missing the season with injuries, the young Brookfield High School basketball Lady Bulldogs offered additional hints last week that, rather than giving up on their 2021- 22 season, they just might be turning a corner and finding some sunshine.
