Beginning April 1 the public is being asked to help find the Easter eggs lost by the Easter Bunny on the trails at Crowder State Park. During April, the public is invited to hike the trails at the park from 8 a.m.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 7 has announced the winners of the 2021 “See a Bloom, Give It Room” Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) Video Challenge. The theme for this competition was urban waters located in the Kansas City, Missouri, metropolitan area. EPA selected first, second, and third prize winners who will split an $11,000 prize pool.
The Gallatin Theater League thespians are preparing to present “Ripcord” by David Lindsay-Abairewill a play about two women in a senior living facility. The cast will perform “Ripcord” at 7 p.m., on March 24, 25 and 26 at the Courter Theater in Gallatin.

The Bucklin Community Association held its annual Irish Stew Dinner on March 12. Organizers reported a good crowd was in attendance. The winner of the Lottery Board drawing was John A. Shoemaker Sr. The attendance drawing prize was a t-shirt won by Arleta Stone.
Stallo found guilty A Linn County court found Frank Stallo guilty of felony driving while revoked. This case was investigated by the Linn County Sheriff ’s Office.
Lonnie Trentham, Brookfield’s Mayor, is one of three candidates running for two seats on the Brookfield City Council in the April 5 Municipal Election. Trentham is running for re-election because he wants to continue making a difference in the town he has called home since 1996.
