Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft’s Securities Division issued an order to show cause why restitution, civil penalties and other administrative relief should not be imposed against a company and four individuals that allegedly offered and sold at least $760,000 in unregistered homemade “silver and gold certificates.”

Carrollton Democrat Guest Speaker

The Linn County Democrat Club held their March 17, meeting at the Marceline J & J on Main Street bar and grill. Carrollton County Democrat Central Committee Chairman Michael Decker was guest speaker. Club members voted to provide a $300 scholarship to each of the five Linn County schools.

Missouri Livestock Symposium Accepting Applications for the Missouri Livestock Achievement Award

The Missouri Livestock Symposium is currently accepting nominations for the new Missouri Livestock Achievement Award. This award recognizes an individual or organization demonstrating outstanding achievements and distinguished contributions to the livestock industry. Eligible applicants can be producers of livestock, agribusiness personnel, agency personnel or agriculture educators in the state of Missouri. Other parties who have been longtime supporters of the Missouri livestock industry will also be considered.
