Quinn, Molloy Lead Virtual Repeat of Inaugural Marceline, Brookfield Diamond Clash

While the scene was shifted, the story played out very similarly last Thursday when Marceline and Brookfield teams met in high school baseball for only the second time ever. With MHS’ right-handed pitcher Wyatt Molloy having out-dueled BHS righty Bryson Collier at Brookfield’s Rusk Park field last May in a 2-0 Tigers win in which both hurlers threw dominating, complete games, the same duo toed the rubber at Marceline’s Walt Disney Memorial Park field April 7 and, while neither went the route this time, delivered superb hill efforts in a game Marceline won again, this time 2-1 on the strength of Hunter Quinn’s 2-runs home run in the bottom of the third inning.

Marceline Golf Boys Best KC Class 5 School’s Jayvees

KANSAS CITY — On a Friday afternoon not particularly well-suited for golf, Marceline High School’s golf Tigers made the most of their opportunity to play at a metropolitan Kansas City course. Facing Kansas City: Park Hill’s junior-varsity lineup in an 18-holes match at the par-72 Tiffany Greens course, the Tigers continued their early-season success by shooting a low-4 score of 355, edging the Class 5 foe’s second-stringers by 12 strokes.

National Archery In The Schools Program Builds Character In Students

For the second year in a row, the Missouri National Archery in the Schools Program (MoNASP) state tournament exceeded expectations. Held in Branson, Missouri and hosted by the Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation (MCHF), the tournament drew a crowd of over 10,000 people with approximately 4,500 student competitors. The excitement in the convention center, pouring out of the thousands of young shooters, was electric.
