On March 29, Linn County Prosecuting Attorney Shiante McMahon hosted “Marijuana Minutes” training in Linn County for law enforcement. “We covered a lot of ground including the legalization of marijuana and effects on society, the different types of marijuana plants and how they are grown, the different types of THC concentrates and marijuana and how it is used and made, the marijuana DWI and field sobriety testing, understanding the law of medical marijuana in Missouri, and our obligation and commitment to uphold a person’s Constitutional rights while also enforcing the laws of our state,” McMahon said.

Area Easter Egg Hunts The Brookfield Parks & Recreation Dept. is hosting an egg hunt beginning at 10 a.m., at Rusk Park, Brookfield on April 16.

Last Tuesday, 16% of Linn County voters went to the polls. Between the city, school and tax questions voters approved each measure according to the unofficial results from County Clerk Suzan Stephenson.
