There is a $3 suggested contribution for meals for those 60 years and over and $6.75 cost for meals for those 59 years and under. Meals are delivered Monday thru Friday, from 10:30 – 12:00, except on holidays.

DeVoy Joins Hospitalist Staff At HMC
Hedrick Medical Center (HMC) added advanced practice provider Jayme DeVoy to the hospitalist team. Hospitalists are physicians and advanced practice providers who specialize in hospital-based care. They coordinate all aspects of care for patients who are in the hospital. The hospitalist, along with the patient’s primary care provider and other specialists involved with treatment, works as a team to ensure the patient receives the right care in a timely manner.
Commission Meeting Minutes For May 17
The Linn County Commission met on May 17 with Commissioners King and Murrain and Clerk Stephenson present, Commissioner Muck is attending a meeting in Trenton. Commissioner King called the meeting to order. The agenda was reviewed.
Wesley Pleads Guilty To Child Molestation, Patronizing Prostitution
Jason Wesley Jones has plead guilty to seven sex crimes including six charges of child molestation. Wesley was charged with five counts of first degree child molestation which is alleged to have occurred between July and November 2011; one count of third degree child molestation with a victim less than 14 years old.

Myers Named to Graceland University's Spring 2022 President's List The honor roll lists for Graceland University's 2022 spring term have been announced, and Kaylee Myers of Chula, has been named to the president's list. Graceland University students with a perfect 4.0 grade point average are named to the president's list.
Lots of Everything In Mudcats’ Marathon Opening Loss Tuesday
CARROLL, Iowa — Hopefully the Chillicothe Mudcats’ bus driver had some energy drink available Tuesday night. Having recovered from squandering the 5-0 lead returnee Tanner Sears’ third-inning grand slam gave them to be up by five again going to the bottom of the ninth inning, the Mudcats saw a 4-runs advantage with two ninth-frame outs on the host Carroll Merchants vanish, then could not preserve a 15-14 margin in the 12th late Tuesday night, falling 16-15 in 12 in their 2022 season debut.
Fundraising Ongoing For Brookfield Junction Park
Fundraising is through July 1 for the Brookfield Junction Park, located at the corner of North Main Street and East Boston Street near Brookfield Library. Bricks are $100 for 4"x8".
Extreme Bull Ride Draws Record-Breaking Crowd
The second annual Linn County Extreme Bull Ride held June 1 at the Linn County Fairgrounds in Brookfield brought in an even bigger crowd than last year. Keenan Switzer, Linn County Fair Board President, said there was an estimated 1,500 people at this year's event, topping the 1,300 from last year.
