Sayre attends Beef Leaders Institute Brett Sayre, Purdin, was one of 26 American Angus Association® members from across the country that attended the 2022 Beef Leaders Institute (BLI) June 13-17. The annual event is hosted by the American Angus Association and funded by the Angus Foundation and Certified Angus Beef® brand (CAB®).

The Linn County Commission met on June 21 with Commissioners King, Murrain and Muck and Clerk Stephenson present. Commissioner King called the meeting to order.

Air conditioning is a welcome luxury come the dog days of summer. Few people can imagine getting through a hot summer afternoon without turning their AC on, and that can make July and August some of the more costly months on the calendar in regard to energy consumption.

Following an especially deadly 2021, Missouri traffic fatalities have dropped 7% compared to this same time last year. Preliminary data shows from Jan. 1 - June 22, 413 people were killed in Missouri traffic crashes, down from 445 in the same period in 2021. The July Fourth holiday weekend marks the halfway mark of summer and the halfway point of the 100 deadliest days of summer, which has historically seen the highest number of traffic fatalities.

Missouri S&T announces honor list Missouri University of Science and Technology announces the names of students who made the honor list for the Spring 2022 semester. To be included on the honor list, students must have carried a minimum of 12 hours and had grade point averages of 3.2 or above out of a possible 4.0.
