Preseason practices for Missouri high school fall 2022 sports programs began Monday. Working out from 7-10 a.m. were Brookfield High School’s football Bulldogs, while the softball Lady Bulldogs were gathering next door at their new on-campus field for a 2-hours practice beginning at 8. A couple of dozen girls showed up for returning head coach Paige Corf to work with, while second-year pigskin boss Cory Luke had around the anticipated three dozen on hand. Also getting in Day 1 practices, despite some spotty showers, were Brookfield’s girls’ golf, cross country running, and volleyball teams. At Marceline, while the golf girls had a morning session, the softball Lady Tigers and football Tigers waited until the evening and mid-afternoon, respectively, for their inaugural workouts.
