During its regular meeting on August 3, the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded $29.3 million in contracts for projects covering 370 lane miles of resurfacing on rural roads in Northeast Missouri.
Michalle (Mickey) Gilbert isn’t afraid to strike out on her own and for 3,500 miles riding a bicycle, she is proving that. On day 24 of a bike ride that began in Portland, Oregon, Mickey made a pit stop at the Ludlow Lions Ball field after being flagged down by the irrepressible Johanne Blackburn and her friend Marj Locker.

There is a $3 suggested contribution for meals for those 60 years and over and $6.75 cost for meals for those 59 years and under. Meals are delivered Monday thru Friday, from 10:30 a.m., – 12 p.m., except on holidays.

The Brookfield R-III Board of Education, Brookfield, Missouri met in open session on Tuesday, July 19, in person in the HS Media Center. The following board members were present: Jim McIntyre, Blake DeVoy, Dave Shaw, Noel Staddie, and Ryan Burns. Jered Wallace was absent. President McIntyre called the meeting to order and led those in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance, according to Superintendent Dr. Kyle Collins report 'The Gist'.
State Budget Director Dan Haug announced today that 2023 fiscal year-to-date net general revenue collections increased 38.3% compared to July 2021, from $701.3 million last year to $970.3 million this year.
Of the 8,181 registered voters in Linn County 2,059 ballots were cast by about 25.17% of the voters during the Aug. 2 primary election.
