Nominations Open for Inaugural Missouri Farm Bureau Farm Dog of the Year Contest

Farmers are invited to submit nominations for the Inaugural Missouri Farm Bureau Farm Dog of the Year contest, supported by Purina. This brand-new contest celebrates farm dogs and the many ways they support farmers and ranchers in producing nutritious food for families and their pets across Missouri. The grand prize winner – the Missouri Farm Bureau Farm Dog of the Year – will win a year's worth of Purina dog food and will be recognized at a Farm Dog of the Year award ceremony at the Missouri Farm Bureau Annual Meeting in December.

Gov. Cost-Share Program To Generate Economic Development Through Transportation Projects

In the last legislative session, the Missouri General Assembly appropriated $75 million to the departments of transportation and economicdevelopmentfortheGovernor’s Transportation Cost-Share Program, aiming to build partnerships with local entities to deliver road and bridge projects. Guidelines and applications for the costshare program are now available at modot.org/governors-transportation- cost-share-program.

Rojas Shows Grand Champion Steer

The Grand Champion Steer exhibited by Mikaela Rojas of New Boston weighed 1,310 pounds and sold for $12,500. The crossbred was purchased by Edward Jones. Additional funds for the Grand Champion Steer were contributed by Youth in Agriculture and hometown supporters resulting in a total record-breaking sale value of $33,945.79.
