The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is seeking public input regarding a safety improvement project on DeKalb County U.S. Route 69 at the Route EE intersection, north of Cameron. The project, currently in the design stage, would add a left-turn lane for northbound motorists on U.S. Route 69 wanting to turn onto Route EE.
Farmers are invited to submit nominations for the Inaugural Missouri Farm Bureau Farm Dog of the Year contest, supported by Purina. This brand-new contest celebrates farm dogs and the many ways they support farmers and ranchers in producing nutritious food for families and their pets across Missouri. The grand prize winner – the Missouri Farm Bureau Farm Dog of the Year – will win a year's worth of Purina dog food and will be recognized at a Farm Dog of the Year award ceremony at the Missouri Farm Bureau Annual Meeting in December.

The North Central Missouri College (NCMC) Ketcham Community Center in Trenton, Missouri, will be having an introductory course on the game of Pickle Ball Friday, Aug. 26, at 7 p.m. at the Ketcham tennis courts. This course is free, and racquets and balls will be provided.
