Local Artists Showcase 14 On Display At NCMC Rider Gallery
A collection of works by area artists has begun the 2022-2023 exhibition schedule in the Dorris Rider Art Gallery at North Central Missouri College in Trenton. “Local Artists Showcase 14” is now open and runs through October 8. The Rider Art Gallery is located in the Frey Administrative Center on the NCMC campus. Regular hours are 8:30 a.m., to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, as well as selected weekend and evening hours by appointment.

2021 State Softball Champs Open 2022 In Style
Gladly figuratively wearing the big bullseye of the previous season’s state champion on their backs, Marceline High School’s softball Lady Tigers posted two home wins to start their 2022 season last Monday and Tuesday. Stepping on the field to seriously compete for the first time as reigning state diamond queens, the Lady Tigers turned back a determined Hamilton: Penney club 7-1 at the Disney Park field Monday, never trailing after putting up three runs in the bottom of the first inning.

MEADVILLE — The Meadville High School softball Lady Eagles held on to gain a 9-6 victory at Green City this past Tuesday in their Tri-County Conference opener, coach Nicole Shiflett reports. The Lady Eagles improved to 3-1. “We struggled defensively early on, but heads-up baserunning and timely hits gave us the lead heading into the bottom of the seventh (inning),” the coach relates, “and we were able to hold them and win.”
