Canvas House Receives Major Donation & Acquisition Canvas House Recovery, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and providing opportunities for persons in recovery to rebuild their lives away from addiction, has recently received a major donation from area private donors to assist in the first phase of providing needed transitional housing. Canvas House Recovery is currently looking for an available lot in the Linn County area on which transitional housing can be built or placed.

MARCELINE — Although, somewhat surprisingly, it required a month and half the season, the first victory for the 2022 Marceline High School football Tigers and first-season head coach Joey Peterson finally materialized last Friday at Chester Ray Stadium. Welcoming fellow Lewis and Clark Conference member and 2011 state-playoffs opponent Fayette for the MHS Homecoming game, the Tigers used a halfback- option play shortly before halftime to claim a 7-6 mid-game lead and followed that up with a Conner Quinn touchdown gallop in the third period to gain a 14-12 triumph.
