LLB Donates to Breast Care Fund

Rebeccah Dorrell from Local Luxuries Boutique in Brookfield recently presented a $400 donation to Danny Bartlett (PHS Radiology Department Director) for the Pershing Health System Breast Care Fund. The PHS Breast Care Fund was created to help patients who can’t afford to get a mammogram and to also help with transportation cost for follow-ups (such as a biopsy).

Miss Rodgers’ Neighborhood: Marceline Overpowers Elsberry in Quarterfinal

MARCELINE — It looked so familiar and – for veteran Marceline High School softball Lady Tigers, their coaches, and fans at Disney Park last Thursday evening – that was a comfort. Senior pitcher Cassi “CJ” Rodgers spent the first inning of the team’s Class 2 state tournament quarterfinal game against Elsberry trying to find her rhythm and locate her best “stuff,” just as she did 51 weeks earlier in the semifinal and championship rounds of the state tourney which ended with MHS’ first state diamond crown.
