September 2022 Monthly Jobs Report

Missouri non-farm payroll employment increased by 2,700 jobs from August 2022 to September 2022, and the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate decreased by one-tenth of a percentage point. Private industry employment increased by 10,400 jobs and government employment decreased by 7,700 jobs. The state's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 2.4 percent in September 2022, from 2.5 percent in August 2022. Over the year, there was an increase of 71,500 jobs from September 2021 to September 2022, and the unemployment rate decreased by 1.6 percentage points, from 4% in September 2021 to 2.4% in September 2022.

Seven Marceline Softball Players First-Team All-District, Three All-L&C First Team

MARCELINE — As the Marceline High School softball team hopefully is spending this weekend preparing for a third appearance in the Missouri State High School Activities Association’s Class 2 State Championships semifinals and finals at Springfield in the past four years next weekend, seven members of its roster already possess firstteam postseason honors- team recognitions. Both the Lewis and Clark Conference and coaches involved in the preceding week’s district tournament at Unionville announced the results of their respective all-conference and all-district ballotings early this past week.
