Brookfield, Marceline Could Do It Again in Playoffs

A possibility revealed in late August when the Missouri State High School Activities Association disclosed how high school 11-man football classification and district assignments had shaken out took more potential shape last Friday when the Brookfield Bulldogs and Marceline Tigers each picked up 2022 week eight road victories. Brookfield virtually assured itself of hosting a first-round game in the Class 1 District 7 playoffs when it doubled up host Clark County, 26-13, in a Clarence Cannon Conference contest at Kahoka.

In the proclamation, Governor Parson noted that Oct. 18 marks the 50th anniversary of the Clean Water Act, which aimed to prevent, reduce and eliminate pollution and restore and maintain the chemical, physical and biological integrity of the nation’s waters.
