There is a $3 suggested contribution for meals for those 60 years and over and $6.75 cost for meals for those 59 years and under. Meals are delivered Monday thru Friday, from 10:30 a.m., – 12 p.m., except on holidays.
The Mareceline Police Department and Christmas 4 Kids volunteers are gearing up for the 10th annual event to be held starting at 4 p.m., on Dec. 17 at the Walsworth Community Center.

MARCELINE EAGLES #726 COMMUNITY PROJECT The Marceline Eagles #726 is heading up a Community Christmas Project for residents of Pioneer Nursing Home and Marceline’s Bristol Manner. The club is seeking donations of items for shower caddys for each resident.
Marceline Mayor Sallie Buck read a proclamation on behalf of the City of Marceline to the Marceline R-V Lady Tigers Softball Team, recognizing the team's 2022 Class 2 High School State Championship, at the Fall Sports Awards Program on Nov. 15. Councilman Tracy Carlson presented a copy of the proclamation to each team member and team coaches.
BROOKFIELD — In the wake of a 5-20 2021-22 season that never gained traction, thanks to a 0-7 start, that head coach Carey Davison strongly felt was attainable, Brookfield High School’s basketball Bulldogs will start fresh this winter. A long-distance commuter coach, Davison opted to pursue other opportunities in order to be away from his family less, leading to the employment of Dray Starzl as the BHS boys’ head coach for what could be viewed as a rebuilding season.
Missouri’s most-popular hunting season, with nearly a half-million participants each year, is the November firearms deer season. Having opened Nov. 12, it will close this coming Tuesday, Nov. 22, likely with close to 200,000 deer checked in.
In the wake of a second- consecutive state championship late last month, a Marceline High School softball Lady Tigers quintet has been honored by the Missouri High School Fastpitch Coaches Association with inclusion on the organization’s 2-tiers 2022 Class 2 All-State team. After two seniors and two juniors from MHS’ inaugural state title-winners of a year ago reaped All-State laurels from the coaches’ group, both then-juniors – pitcher Cassi Rodgers and third baseman Addison Huber – are holdovers on this year’s first-team, joined this time at that level by classmate Ella Lowe and junior shortstop/ pitcher Ireland Bloss and by junior catcher Emma Cathey as a second-teamer.
