LINN COUNTY FOOD PANTRY The Linn County Food Pantry hours are from 9 -11:00 a.m. Monday through Friday except on holidays. The pantry is located behind the Trinity United Methodist Church in Brookfield. Contact the Food Ministry at 660-258-7071 to make arrangements for donations. BHS Basketball Lady Bulldogs Get Past Milan Again Tuesday
BROOKFIELD — Facing the same opponent they’d defeated by 10 points in a low-scoring third-place game of the Tri-Rivers Classic tournament three days before, Brookfield High School’s revived basketball Lady Bulldogs on Tuesday had what head coach Ronnie Sharp acknowledged as “not our best performance, but still found a way to win,” for a fifth time in six outings this season.
Deer, Duck Seasons Wind Down
Three of Missouri’s 202223 firearms deer seasons are now over (early and late youth seasons and the November firearms season), leaving only two to go. One of these – antlerless-only season – will close Sunday (Dec. 11) and the last one – alternate methods season – will run Dec. 24 through Jan. 3.

Brookfield man sentenced to probation on felony child molestation charges
Will A. Hoskins, Brookfield, has been sentenced to probation on two charges of felony first-degree child molestation that were filed in 2019 following the commission of the crimes in 2013.
Animal Shelter of Linn County hosting raffle fundraiser
The Animal Shelter of Linn County is hosting a raffle event fundraiser, with the drawing to be held on December 15. They will be giving away a carousel horse, painted and donated by Lois Stone.
