JAMES (DUB) SPENCER James “J.W.” (Dub) Spencer age 88 of Mendon, died Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Pioneer Skilled Nursing Center. Dub was born in Whitham, Missouri on February 3, 1935 to Charles William and Elizabeth Rosalie (Gates) Spencer. He married Viola Mae Perkins on July 11, 1954 at Marshall and she survives

Patricia Eileen (Rowland) Potter, 86, of Mendon, MO, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at Pioneer Skilled Nursing Center in Marceline, MO. Patricia was born on July 13, 1936 in Sumner, MO, the daughter of Arvel “Dewey” and Aletha (Maupin) Rowland. She graduated from Northwestern High School in 1954; during her high school career she was selected for Missouri Girls’ State. Before marriage she attended business school and worked at a financial institution. On November 25, 1956, Patricia married the love of her life, Gene Potter, at the Methodist Church in Sumner, MO. Together they were blessed two sons, Kim Wayne and Wiley
