Cultural Corner presents exhibit featuring Linda Hoover

Cultural Corner, along with sponsor United County Graham Agency, is pleased to present the artworks of Linda Hoover, a woman whose passion for art has led her to pursue several forms of artistic expression. She's a portrait artist who strives to go beyond simply painting an accurate likeness of the subject. Her goal is to create works of art that will be valued family treasures. Besides portraiture, Hoover has inherited a love of the watercolor medium from her mother, and she delights in exploring the unique possibilities and distinctive transparency of watercolor.

Fall 2022 College News

State Tech announces Fall 2022 Dean's List State Technical College of Missouri announced its December 2022 students who achieved the Dean’s List during the 2022 fall semester. To be placed on the Dean’s List, a full-time student must earn a semester grade point average between 3.5 and 4.0 on a 4-point scale.

Freezin’ for a Reason!

The 16th Annual Polar Plunge will take place at 1 p.m., on February 11, in Simpson Park. Brave men and women from around the area will don disco-themed costumes and swimwear and take “polar” dips into freezing water.

Marceline Nutrition Center menu

The Marceline Nutrition Center is located at 229 W. Hauser. Please call ahead at 660-376-3103 to reserve a carry-out meal, which will be ready at 11 a.m. Dine-in meals begin at 11:30 a.m. Suggested contribution is $3 per meal. 8 oz. lowfat milk is offered at every meal.
