The Missouri Corn Growers Association and Missouri Corn Merchandising Council are proud to announce the 2023 Missouri Corn Scholarship recipients. Each student will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship to contribute to their college education.

IT’S A BOY!!!!! Tristan Keith Leinbach arrived on April 10 to make his home with Christian and Amanda Leinbach, Linneus. He joins a brother, Jayden. Maternal grandparents are Andrew and Erla Burkholder, Linneus; paternal grandparents are Harry and Wilma Leinbach, Wheeling.

There is a $3 suggested contribution for meals for those 60 years and over and $6.75 cost for meals for those 59 years and under. Meals are delivered Monday thru Friday, from 10:30 a.m., – 12 p.m., except on holidays.

The Marceline Police Department reports the following for April 10-16, 2023. April 10 - Officers took a report of a lost dog.

On Saturday, April 15, the Marceline Tigers Scholar Bowl team ended their season with a 1-2 showing at the Class 3, District 6 tournament. The lone win was over Brookfield, and the team then lost two matches against the eventual champion and a top 4 team.
