First-time recipients must bring proof of residence, such as a utility bill, and a state-issued photo identification (Missouri driver’s license or non-driver license). Once registered, recipients will only need to check in when they arrive at the next open date.

U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona recently announced the 59th class of U.S. Presidential Scholars, recognizing 161 high school seniors for their accomplishments in academics, the arts, and career and technical education fields.
Hailee Jo Tarpening, a graduating senior at Marceline R-V High School, has won a $2,000 MFA Foundation scholarship. Hailee Tarpening is the child of Ashley and Jeremiah Tarpening.
At the Marceline City Council Meeting on May 11, the council adopted Ordinance 23-05.05 to address the increasing difficulty in cemetery groundskeeping maintenance. Effective May 12, only the following items will be allowed on cemetery lots within the Mt. Olivet Cemetery:
The Marceline Nutrition Center is located at 229 W. Hauser. Please call ahead at 660-376-3103 to reserve a carry-out meal, which will be ready at 11 a.m. Dinein meals begin at 11:30 a.m. Suggested contribution is $3 per meal. 8 oz. low-fat milk is offered at every meal.
