This week the Brookfield Rotary Club welcomed Pershing Hospital employee Megan Tschannen, Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for this week’s program. Megan is from Marceline and is married to William Tschannen who is also a Pershing Practitioner. Megan works in Pershing’s Community Medical Associates and is in her office there Monday through Thursday, 8-5 p.m. She is also available by phone at other times.
JEFFERSON CITY - Missouri lawmakers are scrutinizing the state’s railroad crossing safety efforts after learning that funds allocated for improvements last year were not fully utilized. The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has requested $49 million dollars in the upcoming state budget to enhance rail crossings across Missouri, but Senate Appropriations Chair is pressing for answers on why all of last year’s funding went unspent.
