There’s a certain electricity that settles over the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia after the sun dips below the horizon. The dust from a day’s worth of livestock shows and foot traffic begins to settle, the smell of kettle corn and funnel cakes drifts lazily through the air, and the grandstand lights take on a warm glow that promises the night is far from over. The infamous fair has been on the run here this first and mid part of August.
