BROOKFIELD – In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Pershing Health System is offering uninsured and underinsured women in the community a chance to receive a free mammogram. Ten screenings will be awarded through a giveaway designed to help make this vital test more accessible.
The program covers the cost of the screening exam itself. If additional imaging, testing, or follow-up care is recommended as a result, those services are not included and will be the responsibility of the patient. Winners must be women age 40 or older who are uninsured or underinsured.
Entries are being accepted now through Oct. 24. Interested participants can call 660-258-1119 to add their names to the drawing. One entry is allowed per person, and no purchase is necessary. The drawing will be held on Oct. 29.
Breast cancer remains one of the most common cancers among women, and early detection through routine screenings plays a critical role in saving lives. Pershing Health System’s initiative underscores the message that every woman deserves access to preventive care, regardless of financial barriers.
