LACLEDE – Buddy M. McCune, age 65, of Laclede, passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 at Indian Hills, in Chillicothe, MO.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm. Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the Rhodes Funeral Home, Brookfield, MO; with a Memorial service to follow at 2:00 pm. with Reverend Teresa Lark officiating. Inurnment will be in the Laclede Cemetery, Laclede, MO; This will be Buddy’s final ride to his resting place. Services are under the direction of the Rhodes Funeral Home, Brookfield, MO. Buddy M. McCune son of Harold “Bud” McCune and Phyllis Jacobs McCune Capps was born on January 21, 1956 in Brookfield, MO. Buddy was a member of the Eagles, Sumner Pool League-Cooney’s Dawgs, and the Back Road Cruizers. He enjoyed tinkering with cars and restoring them. He liked playing pool, horses, going fishing, shooting guns, or any outdoor activities. But most of all Buddy loved spending time with his family and friends.

Buddy is survived by his daughter, Kelsey McCune and fiancé Riley Blauvelt and granddaughter Skyler McCune of Kansas City, MO; his mother, Phyllis Capps of Brookfield, MO; one sister Teresa Lark and husband Davon of Brookfield, MO: one brother, Bill McCune and wife Marla of Marceline, MO; two step sisters, Tracy Douglas of Brookfield, MO and Kim Linebaugh of Jacksonville, MO; a step mother Linda McCune of Brookfield, MO; significant other Sue Schafer of Booneville, MO; and several other loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bud McCune, one son, Cale McCune, step father, Bob Capps, grandparents, Eula and Emerson Jacobs and Greeley and Ruth McCune, and one great nephew Zayne Lorton.
