Frankie J. Gladbach

Frankie J. Gladbach, age 84 of Mendon, died Thursday, March 31, 2022 at the HST Veterans Hospital in Columbia. Frankie was born in Rothville, Missouri on October 19, 1937 to Vincent and Clara (Ewald) Gladbach. He married Nelda Fay Vaughan on September 2, 1961.

Frankie was a Veteran of the United States Army. He attended Rothville School, was a farmer and retired after 43 years at the elevator in Mendon. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, enjoyed tractor pulls, loved sprint cars, farming and being around his family.

He is survived by his wife Nelda of the home in Mendon, son Mark Gladbach and Cathy of Valrico, FL, two daughters, Norma Gladbach and Jason Smith of Brookfield, Jennifer Gladbach of Kansas City, KS, three brothers, George Gladbach of Rothville, Matthew Gladbach of Merriam, KS, and Andrew Gladbach of Rothville, three sisters, Jennie Rose Blank of St. Louis, Mary Moore of Purdin, and Cathy Defibaugh of Rothville, and three grandchildren, Brycen Gladbach, Casey Reynolds and Brooklyn Noyes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Vernon Gladbach and Donald Gladbach and sister Rita Moore.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Thursday, April 7, 2022 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in rural Mendon with burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery in rural Mendon. Visitation will be held from 5:30-8 PM Wednesday, April 6 at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline with Rosary at 5 PM. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Church, Masses or Donor’s Choice and these may be mailed to Delaney Funeral Home 1720 N Missouri Ave., Marceline, MO 64658.
