James L. “Jim” Kosman, age 87 of Bucklin, died Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at his home. Jim was born in Green Castle, Missouri on May 14, 1935 to Leo and Agnes (Lamar) Kosman. He married Joy Ann Teeter on September 26, 1959 and she preceded him in 2017.
Jim was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He worked as a machinist at KW Dart and TWA. He was a member of the St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus #9208, both of Marceline and the Bucklin American Legion Post #57.
Jim is survived by two sons, James Kosman and Jerry Kosman both of Kansas City, KS, daughter Lea Ann Gonzales of Bucklin, two sisters, Donna Jean Altman of San Diego, CA and Phyllis Staples and Jerry of Milan, eleven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Joy, daughter Mary Kosman, brothers Gerald and Donald Kosman, and sisters Eileen Edgar and Lois Minor.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, Marceline. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Monday, December 5 at Delaney Funeral Home, Marceline with Rosary at 4:30 PM. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Marceline. Memorials may be made to Bucklin American Legion and may be mailed to 1720 N. Missouri Ave., Marceline, MO 64658.
