Junior Caleb Stallo, left, finishes clearing an early hurdle during his original preliminary heat of the 110-meters high hurdles in the Class 2 MSHSAA Championships track-and-field meet at Jefferson City High School last Friday. After finishing low among the 16 entrants in these initial races, Stallo and the rest of the competitors had to run the races again at the end of the day, due to some type of administrative or technical foul-up. However, on the do-over, Stallo’s time of 17.08 seconds still left him 14th overall and unable to advance to Saturday’s finals. When teammate Connor Ratliff managed only an 11th-place finish in Saturday’s javelin throw, MHS was left without any points or medals from this year’s state meet. (PAUL STURM/LCL PHOTO)
