When Santa brings a brand new shiny bicycle for Christmas, it can be hard to figure out what to do with the older ones. Did Linn County has an opportunity to make a difference in the community while clearing out some space in the garage.

The 9th Circuit Prevention Unit is hosting a bike drive on Sat. Jan. 18, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon at 215 North Main Street in Brookfield. This event, dubbed Linn County Re’Cycles, is dedicated to collecting gently used bikes for those in need.

All bikes donated must be in good working condition with no repairs needed. If they can’t be dropped off in person during the event hours, arrangements can be made for pickup within the designated timeframe by contacting the organizers at 660-413-2503.
