Arrowhead Saddle Club Rodeo Set to Lasso the Spotlight in Indian Grove

INDIAN GROVE — Get ready for two nights of boots, bulls, and bold moves as the Arrowhead Saddle Club MRCA/URA Rodeo rides into Indian Grove on July 11 and 12, 2025. The action begins nightly at 8 p.m., with $3,000 in added prize money and a lineup of crowd-pleasing events guaranteed to thrill rodeo fans of all ages.

The event will showcase classic rodeo competitions including team roping, barrel racing, bull riding, bronc riding, breakaway roping, and wild cow riding—each promising edge-of-your-seat excitement.

The fun kicks off even earlier each evening with Mutton Busting at 7 p.m., where 20 young contestants take their shot at rodeo glory. Registration for Mutton Busting runs from 6 to 6:45 p.m., with a 70-pound weight limit and a limit of 20 riders per night.

Other family-friendly events include the Calf Scramble, Chicken Chase, and Balloon Scramble, plus concessions available on site to keep spectators fueled up for the festivities. A Saturday night dance will follow the rodeo (weather permitting), ensuring the celebration continues under the stars. Admission is $12 for adults, while children 12 and under are free and kids 5 and under get in free as well.

Backed by a long list of generous local sponsors—ranging from Agri Services of Brunswick and Black Insurance Group to Two Rivers Cattle Feeders and Mauzey Soil Inc—the rodeo is a true community event rooted in tradition and supported by the heart of Chariton County.
