BUCKLIN – Alice M. Thompson, age 96 of Bucklin, died Thursday, December 23, 2021 at St. Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit. Alice was born in Excello, Missouri on January 11, 1925 to Lawrence E. and Goldie May (Franks) Jackson. She married William “Bill” Thompson on April 9, 1944 and he preceded her in death in 2014.

Alice had worked at Brown Shoe Company and later at Cabrook.

She is survived by her son Jerry Thompson and Helen of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, sisters, Mae Thompson of Bucklin and Wilma Levett of New Cambria, three grandchildren, Jerry and wife Cindy, Joey and wife Sara and Jeannette and husband Craig, six great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son Billy.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline with visitation starting at Noon. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Brookfield.
