The Linn County Juvenile Office has announced its annual Back-to-School Supply Drive, an effort aimed at helping local families prepare for the upcoming school year by providing essential classroom supplies. The event is set to take place during the 3rd Annual Healthy Community Summit, offering a convenient opportunity for families to sign up while attending a community-focused event.
Families interested in signing up for the supply drive will need to do so in person at the Healthy Community Summit, where the Linn County Juvenile Office will have a booth set up with registration forms available. This year’s supply drive hopes to ease the financial burden of back-to-school shopping by distributing supplies to students who may otherwise go without basic classroom necessities.
The event is scheduled for Thurs., July 24, from 5-7 p.m., at the Walsworth Community Center, located at 124 East Ritchie Avenue in Marceline, Missouri. Organizers encourage families to attend the summit not only to register for school supplies but also to take advantage of the many resources and services available at the event.
In addition to helping students prepare for the new school year, the Back-to-School Supply Drive serves as a community-building initiative, reinforcing the importance of supporting youth through every step of their educational journey. The Juvenile Office, along with community partners, continues to emphasize the value of education and seeks to ensure that every child has the tools they need to succeed academically.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to mark their calendars and take advantage of this opportunity to ensure their children have the necessary supplies for a positive and successful school year.
