On Nov. 23, 2024, the Marceline community is invited to come together to support Jamie Niemeier in her battle against breast cancer. A benefit event will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Walsworth Community Center, located at 124 E Ritchie Avenue, Marceline. The event, organized by friends and family, will feature a chili dinner and a live auction conducted by Sayre Auction LLC. All proceeds will go directly toward Jamie’s medical and travel expenses to KU Medical Center, where she is undergoing treatment.
Jamie Niemeier, a single mother of four and a graduate of Marceline High School, has been facing a challenging journey as she undergoes surgeries and intensive medical care. Known for resilience and dedication to her family, Jamie is determined to emerge from this battle stronger, but she needs the support of her community.
The organizers suggest a minimum donation of $10 at the door. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own beverages, and monetary contributions can also be made via Venmo by scanning the QR code available at the event or on promotional materials. The community is also invited to participate in the live auction, with proceeds further supporting Jamie’s medical needs.
For those who wish to contribute items for the auction, donations are welcome. Contact Jennifer Adams at 319-939-7864 or Melanie Denton at 660-973-1435 for more information.
